From Learners in Our Tracks

PK

Pattaraporn Kosakul

Bangkok, Thailand · Foundations

"I tried two other Python courses before this one and kept getting stuck at the same point — where you move from following examples to writing something on your own. The way Loomlogic paces the exercises made that jump a lot smaller. I noticed I was writing code without looking things up by week five."

Nattawut Rungsri

Chiang Mai, Thailand · Workshop

"The testing section in the Workshop was the most useful thing I've studied this year. I had been writing models that looked fine but failed in unexpected situations. Having to write tests alongside the model changed how I think about the whole process. The mentor notes on my second project were pointed — a bit uncomfortable, but fair."

Siriwan Wongsawat

Singapore · Workshop

"I enrolled from Singapore. The English is very clear — I never had to re-read a paragraph because the language was awkward. What I appreciated most is that it doesn't pretend every problem has one correct solution. The exercises often ask you to compare two approaches and explain the trade-offs."

Arisa Tangsiri

Nonthaburi, Thailand · Capstone

"The Capstone was harder than I expected, mostly because choosing the project topic took longer than the first two weeks. Once I committed to something, the mentor feedback kept me on track. Having a presented project at the end that I genuinely designed and could explain fully — that felt like something real."

Borworn Lapanichakul

Khon Kaen, Thailand · Foundations

"I have no engineering background — I work in logistics. I chose the Foundations course because I wanted to understand what my team's data tools were actually doing. The course took about eight weeks for me, not six. But I finished it, and I understand what I set out to understand. The self-paced format made that possible."

Yui Nakamura

Osaka, Japan · Workshop

"I enrolled from Japan after a colleague in Bangkok recommended it. The mentors respond in a way that shows they actually read your submission — one of mine came back with a note about a specific design choice I'd made in a helper function. That level of attention was worth the enrolment fee by itself."

Three Case Studies

KT

Kanokporn Thongchai — Software Tester, Bangkok

Foundations → Workshop · 5 months total

Challenge

Kanokporn could follow Python tutorials but couldn't apply the concepts independently when she moved away from the example. She tested software for a living but didn't understand the logic behind the tools she was using.

Approach

She worked through Foundations at a pace of around eight hours per week, then enrolled in the Workshop three weeks after finishing. The testing section in the Workshop was directly relevant to her day job.

Outcome

She now writes scripts to automate parts of her testing workflow and understands the reasoning behind the models she validates. She described the Workshop as "the first course that made me feel like I was building something rather than following instructions."

RM

Rattanaporn Meesuk — University Lecturer, Chiang Rai

Workshop → Capstone · 7 months total

Challenge

Rattanaporn taught statistics and wanted to understand AI well enough to incorporate it into her curriculum, but found most courses either too elementary or too research-oriented.

Approach

She joined at the Workshop level, having some Python background, and progressed to the Capstone. Her capstone project was a small prediction tool relevant to survey data — the kind she works with in her research.

Outcome

She now teaches a short AI literacy module and uses the project from her Capstone as a worked example for students. "The documentation discipline is the thing I've borrowed most directly into how I teach."

DN

Duc Nguyen — Operations Analyst, Ho Chi Minh City

Foundations only · 9 weeks

Challenge

Duc had no programming background and was exploring whether a career move into data work was feasible. He needed a course that didn't assume prior knowledge but also didn't feel like it was for children.

Approach

He took the Foundations course over nine weeks, completing it more slowly than the suggested pace because he was working full time. He found the self-paced structure essential to finishing.

Outcome

He hasn't changed careers yet, but now uses Python for reporting tasks at his current job and plans to enrol in the Workshop. "I understand what code is doing now — not just how to copy it."
